1. Who we are

AuditDude is an automated security tool that reviews source code you connect through GitHub. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and who we share it with.

2. What we collect

Account details: your name and email address from GitHub when you sign up. Repository data: the source code of repositories you grant us read access to, and metadata such as repository names, branches, and commits. Billing: if you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe; we store a customer reference and subscription status, not your card number. Usage: basic analytics such as page views to understand how the product is used.

3. How we use it

We use your code to scan for security findings and to generate suggested fixes. We use your account details to operate your account and contact you about the service. We use billing data to manage subscriptions. We do not sell your data or use your code for advertising.

4. AI processing

To analyze your code, we send it to Anthropic's Claude API, our AI subprocessor. Under Anthropic's API terms, your code is not used to train models. We only send what is needed to perform a scan or generate a fix.

5. Subprocessors

We rely on a small set of providers to run AuditDude: GitHub (source access and authentication), Anthropic (AI code analysis), and Stripe (payments). Each processes data only to provide their part of the service.

6. Retention

We keep findings and the code snippets attached to them for as long as your account is active so you can review your reports. You can delete repositories or your account at any time, which removes the associated scan data. Revoking GitHub access stops all future processing.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data, and you can revoke our GitHub access from your GitHub settings at any time. To request deletion or a copy of your data, email us.

8. Security

We request read-only access to your code, encrypt sensitive integration credentials at rest, and limit access to data to what is needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
